Das Jugendportal ist eine redaktionell betreute und kommentierte Linksammlung zu jugendrelevanten Themen. Es ist erste Anlaufstelle bei der Suche im Netz. Das Jugendportal richtet sich in erster Linie an in Österreich lebende Jugendliche zwischen 12 und 26 Jahren.
Das Jugendportal erleichtert die Orientierung bei der Suche im Netz: Es werden nur Seiten vorgeschlagen, die seriös, möglichst jugendgerecht und österreichweit relevant sind. Ein kurzer Kommentar zum Link gibt einen ersten Eindruck, was einen auf der vorgeschlagenen Seite erwartet. Das Jugendportal ist barrierefrei und frei von kommerzieller Werbung.

Das Jugendportal wird vom Bundesnetzwerk Österreichische Jugendinfos (BÖJI) betrieben.
Der Verein Bundesnetzwerk Österreichische Jugendinfos (BÖJI) besteht seit 2004 als nationaler Zusammenschluss der Jugendinformationsstellen in Österreich. Die Jugendinfos bieten zielgruppengerechte Information und Erstberatung zu allen jugendrelevanten Themen für Jugendliche zwischen 12 und 26 Jahren an.
BÖJI ist weiters die nationale Koordinierungsstelle des Europäischen Netzwerkes EURODESK, das von der Europäischen Kommission und dem Bundeskanzleramt gefördert wird. Dieses bietet Information und Beratung für junge Menschen und JugendarbeiterInnen zu allen europäischen Themen, wie Mobilität, Bildung, Jugendprojekten, Jugendbegegnungen etc.
BÖJI ist weiters Mitglied von ERYICA (European Youth Information and Counselling Agency), die alle europäischen Jugendinformationsstellen unter einem Dach zusammenfasst. BÖJI repräsentiert hier Österreich.
BÖJI unterstützt gemeinsame Projekte der österreichischen Jugendinfostellen, wie z.B. Trainings und Publikationen.

The information on the site is structured by topics and consists of commented links to relevant sites that are selected by an editorial team. The language of the portal is German. Bundesnetzwerk Österreichische Jugendinfos is the national umbrella association of the Austrian Youth Information Centres.
Bundesnetzwerk Österreichische Jugendinfos is the Austrian National Coordinator for the European network of information service EURODESK, which is supported by the European Commission and the Federal Chancellery. EURODESK offers information and counselling for young people and youth workers on relevant youth related European subjects, such as mobility, education, youth projects, exchanges … by means of the European Youth Portal on the Internet, the EURODESK database with its focus on support programmes in Europe and an active network in more than 30 European countries.
Bundesnetzwerk Österreichische Jugendinfos is also a member of the European youth information umbrella organisation ERYICA (European Youth Information and Counselling Agency) where it represents the interests of the Austrian Youth Information Centres.
